Must be at least 15 years of age

Must provide Photo ID

Must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) - You can Create or Locate your USI here

Must be physically able to perform at least 2 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.

Must wear suitable attire, including long pants and closed-in shoes

Must be able to read and write in English

Note: If you hold a valid CPR certificate (issued within 12 months of the scheduled course), you can provide verifiable evidence to have a credit applied. Please call the office to discuss.

• Recognising and responding to emergency situations

• Applying safe work practices

• Assessing casualties and determining the need for CPR

• Performing CPR in accordance with current ARC guidelines

• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) effectively

• Identifying isolation points and preparing LV rescue equipment and PPE

• Conducting low voltage rescue procedures safely and effectively

• Managing casualties following an electrical incident

• Securing incident sites and communicating with emergency services

• Completing incident reporting and workplace documentation requirements

Upon successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for - HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel.
